福德是世出世间一切安乐和成就之源，积聚福德最殊胜的方法是什么呢？

智广阿阇梨答：

我们每个人都想得到快乐、得到幸福，每个人都想有福气、有功德。那么福气、功德从哪里来？最殊胜的方法是发菩提心。

如果我们发起菩提心，这个福德有多大？在阿底峡尊者的《菩提道灯论》里面有这样的教言：“菩提心福德，其中若有色，充满虚空界，福犹多于彼。”菩提心的福报、功德，如果有形状，就会充满整个虚空界，而且比充满整个虚空界还要大。这个虚空界有多大？太大了，无边无际。如果我们能够发起菩提心，我们得到的福报、功德比整个虚空界还要大，可以说是无有穷尽的。它不仅能带给我们快乐和幸福，而且能让我们最终成佛。

What is the best way to cultivate merits that are the source of worldly and spritual happiness and accomplishments?

All of us hope to obtain joy, happiness, merits and karmic rewards. Then, where do them come from? The best way is to generate our bodhichitta.

How much is the merits by the generating of bodhichitta? A teaching in Lord Atisha’s Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment says that if the merits from bodhichitta had a form, they would need more than the entire space to hold. How big is the size of the entire space? It is extremely huge and boundless. If we can generate bodhichitta, the karmic rewards and merits are much more than the entire space to be filled up. They are unlimited. These merits will not only bring us joy and happiness, they will eventually lead us to Buddhahood.

福徳は出世間と世間においての、一切の安楽と成就の源です。福徳を積む為の最も殊勝な方法とは？

私たちは皆、快楽を得たい、幸福になりたいと願い、福運や功徳を持ちたいと望んでいます。では福運、功徳は一体どこから来るのでしょうか？最も殊勝な方法は菩提心を発することです。

菩提心を発心した場合の福徳が一体どれほどのものなのか、阿底峡尊者（アティーシャ）の『菩提道灯論』の中にこのように書かれています。「菩提心の福徳は、其の中が若し有色であれば、虚空界に充満し、福はそれより尚多し｣菩提心の福報、功徳に形があれば、それは虚空界全てに充満し、更に虚空界をも超える大きさです。この虚空界はどれほどの大きさでしょうか？限りなく果てしない大きさです。もし私たちが菩提心を発起できれば、得られる福報、功徳は虚空界全てを超えるほどの大きさで、無尽蔵といってもいいでしょう。それは単に私たちに快楽と幸福をもたらすだけではなく、最終的に成仏にまで至らせます。
